adidas Originals by Alexander Wang Season 2 Is Inspired by Rave Culture and Cycling

Alexander Wang and Adidas Originals have reignited their partnership for a second collection, this time drawing inspiration from cycling and rave culture.

Seemingly disparate on first thought, the two worlds actually share plenty of common ground, namely a love for skin-tight, neon-clad athletic gear. In the visuals, we can see two models trying to navigate their way to an underground warehouse rave in New York City, guided by someone at the opposite end of a mysterious phone number. The pair eventually finds their way there, turning up, before passing out at dawn.

Last autumn, Wang made headlines when he hawked the first collection from parked trailer truck stores. For this launch, he plans on an equally novel method of distribution. Similar to the protagonists in the video, those looking to a cop will have to engage with a chatbot via text. On July 29, posters will appear on the streets of New York City displaying the phone number along with images of the campaign and product line sheets. After placing the order by code, a bike messenger will then deliver the package.

Stay posted for more information on the collection as we have it.
